nicky buck - community engagement coordinator
Nicky is an enrolled member of the Prairie Island Indian Community and a resident of Red Wing. She has served on the Red Wing School Board which brings a highly informed perspective on youth engagement. She worked for Land and Environment with Prairie Island and is skilled in land-based practices. Nicky advocates for her communities and assists with navigating cultural awareness and appropriateness.
jasmine fiddler - artist & cultural liason
Jasmine is originally from Eagle Butte, South Dakota, a member the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, of Lakota descent, and is a resident of Red Wing. She is the president of Red Wing AIPAC. She is a skilled Pow Wow regalia artist and a cultural knowledge keeper. She serves as a facilitator and works directly with indigenous artists to engage with the project. As a recognized leader, Jasmine centers the needs and perspectives of the community to the work.
kim lampe - project manager
As the Project Manager of the Honoring Dakota Project, Kim’s role involves guiding the project from planning through execution while honoring both the Indigenous perspectives and working within established systems. She achieves this through balancing perspectives, culturally sensitive planning, strong relationship building skills, and inclusive decision-making. Kim draws on over 30+ years of experience in business operations, customer service, marketing, team development, and nonprofit community engagement.
HEATHER LAWRENZ - RED WING ARTS ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
Heather Lawrenz provides a wealth of experience to the Honoring Dakota Project as the Assistant Director of Red Wing Arts. With over 15 years of expertise across roles such as Visual Arts, General Manager, and Marketing Manager, Heather brings a valuable perspective and detailed approach to executing quality engagements. Her deep understanding of arts management and marketing strategies enhances the project's ability to connect with diverse audiences, fostering meaningful interactions and cultural appreciation.
emily foos - Red wing ARts Executive Director
Emily provides leadership to the Honoring Dakota Project as the Executive Director of Red Wing Arts. She brings over 20 years of experience in business development, marketing, financial management, operations, and human resource management. With her visionary leadership, Emily guides the team through strategic development and innovative planning, ensuring the organization's mission is effectively realized. Her ability to inspire and align resources with creative goals propels the project towards a vibrant future, fostering a thriving cultural community.
